Covers to Crave
“Taste of Home” is the #1 food magazine in the U.S. (audience: 11.6 million). Its covers are all about gorgeous, inviting images that present delicious food boldly in close-up or bountiful formats, without making it look too perfect. As the art director, I consulted issue performance reviews, plus the newsstand and books teams to develop strong strategies. I collaborated with leadership, editorial and recipe editors, the Test Kitchen and the Photo Studio. Starting with sketches, I concepted, photo art directed, designed and handled final production.
The top six covers follow the direction of the most recent redesign which I led, design- and photo art direction-wise.
